He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Physiology from the University of Toronto before pursuing further education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, where he earned a Bachelor of Education degree. Continuing his academic journey, Dr. Charles obtained a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology from the University of Victoria while concurrently attending the University of Maryland Dental School, where he was awarded a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS).
